Two Competitions, One Day
UI/UX Showdown 2.0 and DevRumble 2.0 are both scheduled for Friday, August 21, 2026, and both run at the same time. One is a design contest you enter alone. The other is a development contest you enter as a team. Every student from every semester is welcome to join whichever one fits their skills.
⚠️ Because the two events run simultaneously, you can only register for one. Decide which competition you want before you fill in the form.

UI/UX Showdown 2.0
UI/UX Showdown 2.0 is a solo competition. You will be asked to design the interface or the user experience of a product or website, and you will be judged on how well your design solves a real user problem — not just on how it looks. It is a good fit if you already sketch layouts, work in Figma, or find yourself redesigning apps in your head.
The prize pool is Rs. 25,000, and the competition is open to interested students from all semesters. There is no requirement to have a design portfolio before you enter.
💡 Working solo means every decision is yours — the flow, the layout, the typography. Come with your design tool of choice already set up so you spend the time designing, not installing.
DevRumble 2.0
DevRumble 2.0 is the team event. Groups of two to four students take on a development challenge and build a technical solution together. It rewards the things solo work rarely teaches you: splitting the workload, agreeing on an approach quickly, and shipping something that runs before time is up.
The prize pool is Rs. 30,000, and like the design contest, it is open to students from every semester. Teams can mix semesters, so a junior developer can learn alongside a senior one.
Key point: For DevRumble 2.0, only one member registers on behalf of the whole team — but that person must submit the details of every team member on the form.
Who Can Take Part
Both competitions are open to any interested student, from any semester. The only real decision is which one suits you:
- Choose UI/UX Showdown 2.0 if you are drawn to design and want to compete on your own.
- Choose DevRumble 2.0 if you would rather build something with a team of two to four.
Why These Competitions Are Worth Your Time
Coursework teaches you the concepts. A competition tells you whether you can apply them under pressure, on an unfamiliar problem, with a deadline that does not move. That gap is where most of the learning happens.
The BIT Department set both events up with a few clear goals in mind:
- Turning classroom theory into practical UI/UX and development skills
- Encouraging creativity and original problem-solving
- Building teamwork and collaboration habits
- Giving students a place to demonstrate what they can actually do
- Recognising student talent across the department
Pick your challenge. Present your skills. Compete and shine.
How to Register
Registration for both competitions closes on August 18, 2026. Late entries will not be accepted.

- For DevRumble 2.0, form your team of 2–4 members and pick one representative to register.
- Fill in the registration form for your chosen event, including all team member details if applicable.
