- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or IT — BIT, BCS, BSc CSIT, BE Computer Engineering, BSc IT, or any equivalent engineering/IT bachelor's degree from a recognised institution.
- Minimum 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent CGPA) in the qualifying undergraduate degree.
- Submit the completed application form with all required documents. Successful candidates receive an offer letter with registration details to be completed within two weeks.
- MCS has a Fall intake only (Shrawan/Bhadra) with an Evening shift — enabling working IT professionals to pursue the master's degree while continuing employment.
- Semester IV consists entirely of the Project Paper (12 credits) and Seminar in Emerging Issues in IT (6 credits) — both evaluated by LUC-appointed external examiners.
