Training on “Overview of Banking & Insurance Operations in Nepal” for MBA students

In collaboration with the Institute of Banking and Corporate Management, Texas College of Management & IT offered MBA students a seven-day training course on “Overview of Banking and Insurance Operations in Nepal” to teach participants practical aspects of banking and insurance operations (IBCM).

The sessions were facilitated by the following subject matter experts:

(1) Overview of the Banking Industry, Treasury Function, Banking Hazards, and Foreign Commerce by Mr. Purnaman Napit (Former Banker and Subject Matter Expert),

(2) Mr. Ujjwal Nepal, Manager Retail
Liability, Nabil Bank Ltd., Deposit Products, Customer Service, Payment System, Remittance Operation, Loan & Advances, AMl, CFT & KYC, Government Policy, NRB, BAFIA

(3) Mr.Pritam Karmacharya, branch manager at Everest Bank Ltd., is an expert in banking service digitization.

(4) Mr. Rajendra Maharjan, Deputy Director of the Nepal Insurance Authority, discusses life and non-life insurance in Nepal.
At the program’s conclusion, a closing ceremony was held, and the program’s chairman, Prof. Dr. Keshav Kumar Shrestha, principal/CEO, Mr. Bhesh Raj Pokharel, and managing director, Mr. Kumar Joshi, spoke.
